General English I and General English II: Ms. Thompson
These classes are geared toward the Career Center student that needs English skills to succeed in the workforce upon graduation. There is a focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary enrichment and writing. Ms. Thompson’s philosophy in this classroom is that all students enjoy reading; they just haven't found the right book yet! There is a focus on reading novels in class that spark an interest in the student and encourages them to pursue reading further on their own. Ms. Thompson loves to direct her students toward books that she thinks they would like to read in their leisure time. She also has a wide variety of novels available in her classroom for students to borrow.
