About Us

The Coshocton County Career Center provides cutting-edge Career-Technical training for high school juniors and seniors. Students attending the Career Center remain students at their home high schools and graduate with their fellow students. They are able to maintain their affiliation with extracurricular athletics, clubs and activities, and, in many cases, even take classes together at their home high school.

The Career Center boasts a 99% graduation rate and a positive placement rate of over 90% each year. (Positive placement indicates the number of students who successfully find employment within their respective career-technical field of study and/or who go on to attend a 2 or 4-year technical college or join a branch of the U.S. military.)

The Career Center provides a two-year program in ten career-technical areas. They include: Automotive Technology, Building Trades, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Career Skills Investigation, Early Childhood Education, IT Electronics, Health Careers, Natural Resources and Metal Fabrication.

Seniors are also invited to participate in early release programs, which allow them to participate in paid-internship work experiences off-campus, building employability skills and on-the-job work experience.

In addition, academic options, including concurrent college enrollment, and a full suite of college-prep academics are also offered at the Career Center.

Being part of the Criminal Justice program really helped me shape what I wanted to do career-wise and it gave me a jump start on college and my career. Being an officer in SkillsUSA, I learned to become more outspoken.

If I had a friend interested in coming to the career center, I’d tell them, definitely consider it.

Getting to go off-campus to practice what you’re learning was a great part of the Natural Resources program. Coming to CCCC gave me a chance to learn how to get along with all sorts of people. The clients I work with now are all very different so this helped me a lot.

Travis Patterson, '07 Natural Resources Completer

My Auto Tech instructors were definitely the key to my success. They were very knowledgeable in the field of automotive service, but they also worked with me individually and took a personal interest in me, making sure I had every opportunity to succeed.

Service Technician, 2003 Auto Tech Program Completer

At CCCC the relationship between instructor and student is more like an employer-employee. When I graduated, I believe I had much better interpersonal skills and a sense of responsibility and confidence because of the interaction we had in the lab environment.

Morgan (Zullig) Hammond, '04 Cosmetology Completer

My favorite part about the Career Center was the friendly and caring staff. I can’t believe how different the teachers at the Career Center are compared to the teachers at my home school in terms of compassion for their students.
