Business & Medical Office Technology
About the Program
Careers in the business, medical and legal fields are in high demand. You will learn skills necessary to be successful in today’s fast-paced medical, legal, and business environment. Students are trained for a variety of positions and gain “real world” work experience.
Program Area of Study: Legal, Medical, & Business Terminology; Office Management; Billing & Scheduling; Records & Reports; Management & Marketing Principles; Communication, Teamwork, & Time Management; Document Preparation; and Microsoft Office Suite.
As a student in the program, you will also have the chance to join and participate in Business Professionals of America (BPA). This involvement will give you an opportunity to improve your leadership and interpersonal skills and to compete in local, regional, state and national skills contests.

Mrs. Angela Wright
Business & Medical Office Technology Instructor
Angela Wright is a 1999 graduate of Ridgewood High School and completed the Business & Careers Co-Op program here at the Career Center. Mrs. Wright was outstanding student of the year and a State BPA Officer.
Mrs. Wright earned all her degrees while working full-time. In 2001, she graduated from Central Ohio Technical College with her Associates Degree in Office Administration. In 2004, she graduated from Otterbein College with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management & Leadership. In 2017, she earned her Master of Arts Degree in Education from The Ohio State University.
Mrs. Wright taught at Central Ohio Technical College from 2005-2011 in the Business Department as an adjunct professor. Mrs. Wright has taught adult education for Washington County Career Center & Buckeye Career Center.
From 2012-2018 Mrs. Wright was employed by Mid-East Career & Technology Centers where she taught the Administrative Office Program, Computer Applications, Employability Skills, Small Business Management, and Entrepreneurship. She also managed the A+ Learning Management System at the Mid-East CTC Buffalo Campus and she also taught a middle school satellite program at Zanesville City Schools that included Business Foundations & Career Connections.
Outside of teaching, Mrs. Wright is actively involved with the Coshocton County 4-H Program, her church, and the Conference Council on Youth Ministries for the East Ohio Conference of the UMC.
